Welcome to the ultimate Aficionado’s collection. This website was created for the discriminating collector, investor, museum curator, and all other Porsche/car enthusiasts. The collection on this website started in 1968 by Dr. Hammer after he returned from military duty in the Far East. A car aficionado his entire life, Dr Hammer has collected more than 50,000 individual pieces from all over the world. In addition to models currently listed in the database, there are a large number of original Porsche factory literature pieces and automotive books. The collection contains pieces made of all materials and scales imaginable. This automobile art is highlighted by bronze masterpieces by Wanlass, Braun and Gamble, and complemented by models of brass, ceramic, leather, wood, sterling silver, chocolate, pewter, resin, plastic, diecast metal, etc. Another highlight of the collection are the many original Hoffman Motor Company dealer presentations on marble bases. The collection also showcases two very rare Porsche 356 ceramic pieces from the early 1950’s that were presented to a small number of rally drivers by Dr. Porsche himself. |
